PONGAL CELEBRATION

Pongal is a harvest festival, a traditional occasion for giving thanks to nature. We celebrated Pongal on 11 th  January 2018 in Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women, Sulur.. It was joyous and filled our days ahead with happiness.  The pongal was cooked in a new mud pot at auspicious time. The students along with the teachers performed for the kummi song.  Pongal and sugarcane was offered to all the students.   The College took great care in spreading the culture of India by celebrating Pongal.
